Volunteer – Pet Therapy

The Volunteer – Pet Therapy role provides support services with a certified canine by visiting patients in approved hospital departments. The primary duty is to lead the canine so the dog can provide diversion from the normal hospital routine, emotional support, comfort, and aid in stress reduction. The role involves managing the dog's behavior, assisting patients and family members to interact with the therapy dog safely, and providing companionship to patients and residents.
