About this role

The Vice President, Nuclear Island is accountable for delivering the Nuclear Island scope of a large new‑build nuclear project, overseeing engineering, procurement, construction, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This senior leader integrates cross‑functional teams, manages scope, schedule, budget, and risk, and serves as the primary client interface for the nuclear island.

Responsibilities

Define and control nuclear island scope and configuration
Develop and own integrated schedule for design, procurement, and construction
Manage budget, cost forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Lead multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction teams

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PEng) certificationAdvanced degree (Masters) (optional)Experience with CANDU nuclear power plant designsExperience with nuclear quality frameworks (e.g., CSA N286, NQA-1)
