Waterway Operative

The Waterway Operative role at the Canal & River Trust involves maintaining and improving waterways across the West Midlands, primarily focusing on the Llangollen, Montgomery, and Shropshire Union canals. This hands-on, outdoor position includes carrying out maintenance and repair works, operating locks, working with volunteers, and providing customer service to visitors. The role follows an annualised hours system with a 24-hour operational standby team for emergency cover.
