About this role

The University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks a Business Development Director for the Wisconsin Crop Innovation Center to act as a scientific and business ambassador. Additionally, the director will lead business development activities, present at conferences, and move opportunities through to executable projects by defining scopes, timelines, and budgets.

Manage large research projects including scope definition and budgeting
Lead business development activities to secure new research and service contracts
Exercise supervisory authority over multiple full-time equivalent employees
Present scientific and technical information at conferences and client events

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's DegreeTerminal degree in Plant Biology, Plant Genetics, Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Crop Science
