Birds Canada
Birds Canada is seeking one to two software developers to support the development and maintenance of applications for bird data collection, management, and exploration. The position involves working on web-based data visualization and mapping tools for bird research and conservation projects across Canada.
Birds Canada (formerly Bird Studies Canada) is a national non-profit dedicated to conserving wild birds and their habitats through rigorous science, long‑term monitoring, and public engagement. The organization runs and supports programs including large‑scale monitoring networks, research initiatives (such as the Motus wildlife‑tracking system), and citizen‑science projects to generate the data needed for conservation planning. Working with volunteers, researchers, Indigenous communities, governments, and other partners across Canada, Birds Canada translates bird monitoring into practical conservation actions and policy advice.
