About this role

This onsite role within Pratt & Whitney's Operations Team involves repairing jet engine components through hand fusion, machine welding, and various metal joining processes. The 2nd shift employee will utilize computer-controlled welding equipment, X-ray methods, and precision measuring instruments to fabricate parts and ensure quality repairs in an aerospace manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Perform hand and machine welding to fabricate or repair aircraft engine parts
Operate computer-controlled welding equipment to complete specific welding cycles
Utilize X-Ray film to inspect repairs and determine extent of required fixes
Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check weld dimensions
Maintain appropriate metal joining certifications and follow standard operating procedures
