Katzie
Katzie First Nation is seeking a Wellness Program Support Worker to provide frontline support for community wellness programs and activities that promote holistic physical, mental, emotional, and cultural well-being. The role involves assisting with program facilitation, outreach efforts, logistics, and basic administrative tasks while building trusting relationships within the First Nations community.
Katzie First Nation (“Land of the Moss”) is the governing body of the Katzie people, an Indigenous nation in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia near Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge. The Nation provides local governance and community services—such as health, housing, education, and cultural programming—while advancing economic development and stewardship of its traditional territory. Katzie engages in partnerships with regional governments and industry, treaty and land-claims work, and community-led initiatives that centre traditional knowledge and cultural revitalization. Their priorities include sustainable resource management, intergenerational well‑being, and strengthening cultural identity.
