WIC Peer Counselor

The WIC Peer Counselor promotes breastfeeding as the preferred infant feeding method and provides basic information and encouragement to WIC participants who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This part-time position involves supporting mothers through communication, home or hospital visits, and follow-up to monitor progress with breastfeeding pumps. The role requires maintaining accurate records, making referrals to designated experts, and attending mandatory training sessions.
