Wildfire Crew Member

Wildfire Crew Members work on the front lines to protect Alberta's forests, communities, and ecosystems from wildfire as part of the Unit, Helitack, or Hoist crew programs. The role involves responding to wildfires, constructing fire lines, extinguishing hotspots, and maintaining physical and mental readiness for deployment. Crew members work in remote areas, often under physically and mentally demanding conditions, and may spend extended shifts away in tent accommodations.
