About this role
WNC HEART Student Internship is a paid, six-week summer program at MAHEC designed for students from rural North Carolina counties interested in health professions and rural medicine. Participants are placed in rural primary care practices and engage with MAHEC for didactics and a supervised project. The program runs June 15–July 24, with part-time hours (20 hours/week) and requires travel to an assigned clinical shadowing site.
