About this role

As a Workload Orchestration Engineer, you will oversee the deployment and optimization of Roche's High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI Factory platforms. Your role involves managing complex CPU and GPU environments using tools like SLURM and Run:ai to enable efficient large-scale scientific and AI workloads. You will bridge the gap between heavy compute capacity and efficient execution for researchers and data scientists across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain SLURM Workload Manager ecosystems for HPC clusters
Deploy and manage Run:ai for fractional GPU allocation and dynamic resource distribution
Integrate SLURM Slinky to bridge Kubernetes-based AI orchestration with HPC resources
Configure topology-aware scheduling parameters and quality-of-service policies
Implement continuous monitoring and telemetry dashboards for scheduler efficiency
