Wound Ostomy Nurse

The role provides comprehensive direct care for patients with abdominal ostomies, complex wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and skin integrity issues, including pre‑operative counseling, stoma marking, and patient/family education. The nurse also coordinates continuity of care, participates in discharge planning, evaluates products, and may serve as a clinical preceptor and educator for staff.
