About this role
AstraZeneca’s 12‑month Student Work Placement in the Center for AI (CAI) gives students the chance to apply their studies to real AI-driven drug discovery and enterprise projects. Based at the Gothenburg site and starting in September 2026, the placement offers hands-on experience building agentic systems and AI-powered products while being mentored by experienced scientists. The programme is aimed at BSc or MSc students at Swedish universities who can take a study break and work in Sweden for the full 12 months.
