About this role

The Hybrid Additive Manufacturing Engineer at Hyliion develops process parameters and optimizes metal laser powder-bed fusion systems for the KARNO distributed power generator. This hands-on, data-driven role involves troubleshooting machine behavior, analyzing sensor data, and collaborating with hardware and design teams to ensure high-quality, repeatable production. As an onsite position, the engineer drives automation improvements and builds workflows to scale high-reliability manufacturing for power-generation hardware.

Responsibilities

Optimize critical-to-function parameters for mechanical performance and density
Design and execute design of experiments to map process windows
Troubleshoot AM machines and improve hardware capability and uptime
Analyze sensor data to correlate process signatures with part quality
Develop statistical models and controls to ensure stable production behavior
