P-1 AI
The P-1 AI AI Research Lead will define and execute a pragmatic research agenda to advance AI capabilities in multiphysics and spatial reasoning for the built world. This role involves recruiting world-class talent, managing model training compute, and potentially leading specialized efforts within the P-1 Defense subsidiary while maintaining significant in-person presence in San Mateo.
P-1 AI is building Archie, an AI engineer agent for the physical world designed to function at the level of a junior mechanical and electrical engineer, with quantitative multiphysics intuition and the ability to use complex engineering tools. The company trains custom AI models using proprietary semi-synthetic training datasets and structured design representations to keep AI models on-task in executing engineering work. P-1 AI is currently working with design partners in data center engineering and expanding to automotive, aerospace & defense, with the goal of placing an Archie on every engineering team at every major industrial company.
