About this role
The AMS Ombudsperson oversees the AMS Ombuds Office, providing impartial and confidential conflict resolution services to AMS members. The position reports to the AMS Council and supports governance transparency in collaboration with AMS executives and governance committees. This is a term, part-time appointment from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027, at 20 hours per week with compensation of $22.00 per hour. The role interacts with AMS services and external partners to uphold confidentiality and due process in accordance with the Ombuds Office mandate.
