The Appeal Clinical Specialist independently conducts clinical reviews as part of the appeals process, evaluating medical records and applying clinical criteria to make benefit coverage determinations. This role ensures all appeal reviews are completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards while supporting the integrity and quality of the appeals process. The position focuses on initiating and maintaining cost-effective, rational drug and disease therapy through cross-departmental functions.
