The Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) provides short-term, on-demand non-medical behavioral health counseling to military service members, their families, children, and youth at military installations and schools. The role covers surge and temporary assignments (including a summer coverage period) delivering assessment, brief counseling, referrals, and health/wellness presentations while coordinating with installation points of contact. Counselors work independently across varied settings, including schools, youth programs, and community centers, maintaining confidentiality and accurate activity reporting.
