About this role
The Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) provides short-term, on-demand behavioral health support to military service members, their families, children and youth across military installations and associated schools/programs. The role fills surge, post-deployment, and summer coverage needs and operates with minimal supervision to ensure continuity of non-medical counseling and support services. Counselors work closely with installation points of contact to deliver confidential, solution-focused interventions and link clients to appropriate resources.
