The University of Wisconsin–Madison Department of Plant Pathology invites applications for the Ethel and O.N. Allen Chair of Phytobacteriology at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The endowed position seeks candidates with an established research program in the biology, ecology, or evolution of plant-associated bacteria and who will contribute to the department’s research and teaching missions. The role includes substantial ongoing research support contingent on endowment performance and opportunities for collaboration across campus. Appointment is for a 9-month, ongoing faculty position with an expected start on or after July 1, 2026.
