AIG's Data, Digital & Cyber Legal team is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to support global insurance business on cybersecurity, data protection, and artificial intelligence matters across the Asia-Pacific region. This role acts as a trusted advisor to business, technology, and risk stakeholders, shaping the organization's approach to data governance, cyber resilience, and responsible AI deployment. The position requires advising on complex legal risks, negotiating technology contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities

Advise on cybersecurity legal risks and regulatory notification obligations across APAC jurisdictions
Support development and negotiation of technology and ICT contracts including cloud and SaaS
Provide expert advice on data protection laws and lead data protection impact assessments
Advise on legal and regulatory issues relating to AI deployment and governance
Draft and negotiate complex agreements involving data processing and technology services
