Mercari is a mobile-first peer-to-peer marketplace that makes it easy for individuals to buy and sell new and used items via its app and website. Founded in Japan with operations in markets including the U.S., it offers simple listing tools, in‑app payments, prepaid shipping labels and buyer/seller protections to streamline transactions. The platform covers categories from fashion and electronics to home goods and collectibles, and monetizes through seller fees and promoted listings. Mercari’s mission is to create value by helping anyone turn unwanted items into cash and discover secondhand deals.
