Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for Allen Bradley and DS800 systems in upstream oil and gas applications.
Analyze automation needs and implement solutions that improve safety, operational efficiency, and reliability.
Update and optimize existing PLC logic to support system changes, expansions, and performance improvements.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including program descriptions, logic diagrams, and revision logs.
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on PLC and automation equipment.

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Three to five years of PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix or CompactLogix and DS800 systems.Hands-on experience in upstream oil and gas operations including well sites, production facilities, compression, or artificial lift.Proficiency in Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram programming.Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, cause and effect matrix documents, and control narratives.
