Building Inspector I

Under general supervision, this role performs technical work enforcing State and local building codes in areas such as building, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems. The position involves interpreting construction plans, conducting inspections, and exercising independent judgment while maintaining professional contact with the public and industry stakeholders. The Building Inspector I must obtain or possess relevant certifications within a specified timeframe and reports to the Building Official.
