About this role

As a Camera Systems Software Engineer at Skild AI, you will own the end-to-end integration of camera systems for real-time robotic platforms. The role requires deep expertise in debugging low-latency pipelines, defining hardware requirements, and building reliable APIs for perception and autonomy modules. You will collaborate closely with hardware partners and internal teams to ensure high-performance image data delivery.

Responsibilities

Own camera systems end-to-end including vendor requirements and hardware bring-up
Develop low-level camera software including drivers and device-tree configurations
Debug hardware-software interface issues such as dropped frames and timestamp instability
Design low-latency camera pipelines for real-time robotic applications
Build high-level APIs exposing camera metadata and synchronization data
