The INN
The Chef Academy Apprentice is a 12‑month paid apprenticeship offering a nationally recognised Level 2 Commis Chef qualification, fully funded training worth £9,000, and hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen at The Temperance Inn in Ambleside. Apprentices will rotate through masterclasses in butchery, bread‑making, fish preparation and other culinary skills while working alongside experienced chefs.
The INN is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization based in Hempstead, NY, that has been serving hungry and homeless Long Islanders with dignity, respect, and love since 1983. The organization provides a broad variety of essential services including a soup kitchen, emergency shelters, transitional housing, and supportive services to those challenged by hunger, homelessness, and profound poverty.
