About this role
The Chemical Safety Officer provides leadership for chemical safety programs across the University of Chicago’s research enterprise, supporting safe laboratory practices in research and support areas including BSL-1 to BSL-3 and ABSL-1 to ABSL-3 spaces. Reporting to the Associate Director of Chemical Safety, the role partners with institutional stakeholders to advance the University’s academic and scientific mission through chemical hygiene, compliance, and program development.
