Community Development Director

The Community Development Director plans, organizes, and oversees the staff and operations of the Community Development Department, including current and long-range planning, zoning, development permitting, code compliance, and environmental review. This management-level position serves as the City’s designated State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Official and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Official, providing complex support to the Mayor and City Administrator. The role involves making recommendations to the City Council and Planning Commission on planning issues while managing department resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service.
