About this role

The Compliance Officer leads the development and management of the Canadian AML and regulatory compliance framework, ensuring business operations meet legal requirements and partner obligations. The role involves serving as the primary AML compliance authority for the Canadian entity, managing relationships with FINTRAC and banking partners, and overseeing regulatory reporting and audits. This position requires strong expertise in Canadian financial regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA).

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of Canadian AML and regulatory compliance framework
Manage direct relationship with FINTRAC including regulatory communications and MSB registration renewals
Prepare and submit required regulatory reports including STRs, UARs, EFTOs, and EFTIs
