About this role

The role provides culturally responsive psychosocial counselling and psychotherapy to First Nations, Inuit and Métis clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, integrating traditional knowledge with evidence‑based modalities. The counsellor will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, facilitate groups, coordinate care, and contribute to program development and research while working flexible hours, including evenings.

Responsibilities

Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence‑based modalities
Coordinate care with interprofessional team and community partners

Skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in psychotherapy, psychology, social work or occupational therapyRegistration with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)Registration with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)Registration with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)Certification in Motivational Interviewing
