Dispatcher

Under the direction of the Dispatch Supervisor, a Dispatcher is responsible for the deployment, tracking, and movement of units throughout the day according to the local System Status Management Plan. The role involves broadcasting orders to crews, operating communication equipment, and taking caller information to determine the nature of run requests. Dispatchers must dispatch emergent and non-emergent runs to crews in an appropriate and timely manner while recording pertinent information.
