Akin
The Family Resources Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact and advocate for families receiving Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) services, helping caregivers understand available services and access resources during their child's early development. The role involves guiding families through the early intervention process, coordinating Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and connecting families with community resources and support systems. This position requires building trusting relationships with parents, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring children receive timely, coordinated support.
Akin is a Washington state nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and families strengthen and grow together by disrupting systemic and multi-generational cycles of inequity. Formed through the merger of Children's Home Society of Washington and Childhaven, Akin offers a comprehensive spectrum of services including Family Resource Centers, support and referrals, and community-focused programs tailored to each family's needs. The organization partners with local schools, organizations, and community leaders to improve population-level health and well-being across Washington state.
