Field Technician 3

This role provides coverage for a designated region of North Carolina, responsible for locating and protecting MCNC fiber optic underground utilities and other companies' utilities. The position involves visual inspection of construction areas, interpreting utility maps, and using electronic equipment to safely locate buried fiber optics within prescribed accuracy limits. The role also includes performing damage investigations, responding to excavation notices, and acting as a floating resource to support other locators across the state.
