About this role

HPE is seeking a Firmware Developer to design and maintain embedded firmware for high-speed electrical loopback modules used in manufacturing test environments. This role requires hands-on experience with SerDes DSPs, hardware-heavy firmware design, and collaboration with hardware and manufacturing teams to deliver robust solutions for high-volume production. The incumbent will work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA, focusing on signal integrity, FEC, and platform-specific firmware implementation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded firmware for high-speed SerDes test modules
Implement CMIS-compliant firmware with register map initialization and download flows
Configure and manage high-speed SerDes functions including Decision Feedback Equalization
Perform hardware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
Collaborate with hardware teams to diagnose signal integrity and board-level issues
