Forestry Tech I-Assistant County Ranger

The Assistant County Ranger works with the County Ranger to provide forest protection, emergency response, resource management, and environmental education services to residents and landowners across North Carolina. The role involves assisting with landowner requests, promoting urban forestry, delivering educational programs, and responding to emergencies like wildfires. The position requires readiness for extended hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, as well as overnight travel during fire danger periods.
