About this role

As one of Buildkite's first Forward Deployed Engineers, you will take on scoped engagements with strategic customers, working from design through delivery to build production code and land it in the platform. You will collaborate closely with platform teams, executives, and internal departments to solve demanding CI/CD challenges and shape the company's operational playbook. The role involves hands-on engineering, customer access, and regular travel to customer sites on the US West Coast.

Responsibilities

Scope and deliver strategic customer engagements from design through production code
Build core platform features and hand off cleanly to Product and Engineering teams
Partner with Solutions Architects and Account Executives to identify FDE opportunities
