Nanit
The founding backend engineer will own and build the services that power Nanit's growth initiatives, including paywalls, subscription tiering, onboarding, in‑app messaging, referral mechanics, and checkout bundling. The role involves designing APIs for mobile clients, creating experimentation and instrumentation layers, and providing on‑call coverage for production systems. This position works cross‑functionally with mobile engineers and product managers and sets the standard for US engineering practices at Nanit.
Nanit makes smart baby monitors and software that help parents track their infant’s sleep, breathing, growth, and development. Their flagship systems (like Nanit Pro) combine overhead HD video, secure app streaming, and optional sensors/wearables to deliver sleep metrics, breathing motion monitoring, and personalized sleep coaching. Nanit packages these data-driven insights, alerts, and guidance into an app and subscription service to help parents establish routines and monitor wellness. Customers pick Nanit for its research-backed analytics, clear mobile experience, and integrated video-plus-health monitoring.
