Eventual is building Daft, a generational data-processing engine that makes simple and reliable multimodal data processing possible across images, video, audio, and text with the same ease as SQL for tabular data. Its mission is to liberate engineers from distributed-systems complexity by enabling declarative queries that can process petabytes of data and power AI systems that were previously impossible. The team comprises systems and AI veterans who witnessed the autonomous-vehicle revolution’s infrastructure pain, and Daft already processes petabytes daily for companies like Amazon, MobilEye, and CloudKitchens.
