EdAdvance
The Head Start Afternoon Teacher works with classroom staff to deliver developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children aged 3 to 5, fostering school readiness across language, literacy, cognition, and social-emotional skills. The role includes building relationships with families, maintaining a safe learning environment, and participating in professional development.
EdAdvance is one of Connecticut's six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs). Our mission as the RESC in western Connecticut is to promote the success of school districts and their communities. EdAdvance was established under Connecticut Statute 10-66, a-m, and is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of members from local Boards of Education. EdAdvance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
