HIM Coder II

The HIM Coder II is a key member of the Health Information Management team, working under the Coding Manager to review electronic medical records and assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes. The role focuses on coding inpatient, observation, and surgical accounts using DRG methodologies and analyzing documentation for complications and comorbidities. Additionally, the position involves performing physician queries, completing charge verification, and managing claim edits and denials through scrubber queues.
