Catholic Charities Family and Community Services
The Housing Specialist provides advocacy and support services to eligible families and individuals, managing a caseload of 20-25 clients. Responsibilities include conducting eligibility assessments, coordinating housing stabilization plans, crisis intervention, and facilitating communication between clients, landlords, and community resources.
Catholic Charities Family and Community Services (CCFCS) is the largest provider of family and community services in Rochester, NY and the Finger Lakes region, serving the area for over 100 years. It offers a broad continuum of programs across all life stages — including behavioral health, adoption and family support, housing and stabilization, employment and independence, intellectual and developmental disabilities services, refugee and immigration assistance, and care for older adults and people with HIV/AIDS. CCFCS partners with local organizations and provides compassionate, nonsectarian care to help people break free from addiction and overcome barriers to independence. The organization also engages in advocacy, events, and fundraising to sustain and expand its services.
