About this role

The Human Resources Coordinator will support and administer a broad range of HR programs for The MLC, including onboarding, compliance, time and attendance, and training. The role partners with the Human Resources Manager and People team to handle day-to-day HR administration and special projects, while helping to promote and sustain company culture. The position operates in a collaborative, hybrid work environment within a purpose-driven music industry organization.

The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) is the nonprofit organization designated under the U.S. Music Modernization Act to administer blanket mechanical licensing for interactive digital streaming and download services. The MLC collects, matches, and distributes mechanical royalties to songwriters, composers and publishers, operates and maintains a public musical works database, and manages unmatched royalties and dispute resolution. It also provides rights owners with registration tools, reporting, and a portal to claim works and track payments while working with digital service providers to improve accuracy, transparency, and timely royalty distribution.
