About this role
Investigator at the Patient Ombudsman conducts independent investigations into complaints about Ontario public hospitals, long-term care homes, home care services and community surgical and diagnostic centres. The role involves managing a caseload, developing investigation plans, gathering and analyzing evidence, conducting interviews and site visits, and preparing objective reports with recommendations. The Investigator reports to the Manager, Investigations and may contribute to systemic investigations and quality-improvement activities.
