About this role

As the first Engineer I on Handshake's small iOS team, you will own features end-to-end from concept to App Store launch, working closely with senior engineers to build and iterate on high-visibility consumer surfaces. This role involves writing code in Swift and SwiftUI within an MVVM architecture, implementing AI-powered experiences, and ensuring code quality through rigorous testing and reviews. You will be mentored by experienced engineers while contributing to a fast-paced, weekly release train that serves millions of students.

Responsibilities

Own features end-to-end from concept to App Store launch
Build iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit
Implement AI-powered experiences within the mobile app
Write unit tests and contribute to acceptance test coverage
Collaborate with senior engineers on code reviews and architecture
