Lactation Consultant

The Lactation Consultant provides direct clinical breastfeeding services to WIC participants, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care in clinics or via virtual services. The role involves documenting client contacts, maintaining lactation service records, and potentially supervising Peer Counselors. The consultant also conducts training, breastfeeding support groups, and manages inventory for breast pumps and aids. Travel within the Gateway CAP service area is required.
