About this role

As a Large Volume Metrologist at Blue Origin, you will perform high-accuracy dimensional measurements and calibration on spaceflight hardware using laser trackers and specialized software. You will ensure components meet precise tolerances required for safe rocket manufacturing by operationalizing Unified Spatial Metrology Networks and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T. This on-site role supports rapid assembly and integration operations within the Integrated Supply Chain and Test Operations teams.

Responsibilities

Perform large volume metrology measurements using laser trackers and precision instruments
Operate and configure Spatial Analyzer software to create unified measurement networks
Execute Unified Spatial Metrology Networks to optimize measurement accuracy across setups
Interpret complex engineering drawings with thorough geometric dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge
Maintain metrology equipment through operational checks, calibration, and preventative maintenance

Skills

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on experience in large volume metrologyU.S. citizenship or permanent residency requiredProficiency in Spatial Analyzer softwareDemonstrated experience operating laser trackersAbility to obtain and maintain technology export controls clearance
