Lateral Police Officer

This position is for current, experienced police officers from other jurisdictions seeking a lateral-entry role with the Honolulu Police Department. Lateral officers will complete a paid 12-week accelerated academy and a 9-week field training program while receiving credit for up to nine years of qualifying service. The role involves patrolling assigned areas, conducting investigations, responding to emergencies, and testifying in court.
