Lead Software Engineer, Platform

This role leads the architectural design and development of PostEra's Proton drug discovery platform, focusing on scalable systems that support many concurrent projects. The position combines hands-on backend engineering with strategic decisions around data architecture, microservices, and ML-driven workflows. The engineer will collaborate closely with scientists and ML experts to bring novel machine learning research into production for drug discovery. The role also includes mentoring engineers and directly managing a small team as part of a minimalist, highly collaborative organization.
