Material Science Technologist

The Material Science Technologist provides subject matter expertise in the use and application of pretreatments, organic, and inorganic coatings for aerospace materials. This role supports the Research and Development of composites, adhesives, sealants, and other non-metallic materials for DoD aircraft, while evaluating and performing corrosion testing to simulate the Navy's aircraft carrier environment. The position involves resolving material characterization and manufacturing problems, interacting with vendors, and conducting laboratory experimentation.
