About this role

As a Mechanical Designer at Rockwell Automation, you will apply a strong foundation in mechanical design to develop Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) within a cross-functional robotics team. You will transform high-level concepts into reliable mechanical subsystems, perform engineering analysis, and conduct hands-on validation and debugging to ensure system requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with supply chain and production teams while working in a hybrid schedule at the Waterloo, ON location.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of AMR mechanical subsystems including chassis and suspension structures
Perform engineering calculations for structural analysis, fatigue, and thermal assessments
Conduct hands-on validation, debugging, and root cause analysis of prototype builds
Collaborate with supply chain teams on component qualification and manufacturing issues
Create and maintain technical documentation such as service bulletins and maintenance manuals
